Hawthorn Badminton Club (Kew)

Established in 1976, Hawthorn Badminton Club is a not-for-profit community-based badminton social run entirely by volunteers since inception. We are not a commercially run sports club nor do we receive any commercially backed financial support.

Members pay an annual membership fee to join. We are affiliated with Badminton Victoria and Hawthorn Badminton Club members can apply for registration with Badminton Victoria as part of their membership with Hawthorn Badminton Club.

We provide value to members through affordable subsidised social play, coaching/training and social activities. Our fees have remained unchanged for the past 10 years or more. Play is relaxed while competitive at a friendly level. We organise regular intra-club competitions and our members participate regularly in external tournaments and inter-club competitions.

The club plays at Xavier College in Kew.
