Hamilton - Western Speedway

Western Speedway is a dirt-track motor racing venue operated by the not-for-profit Hamilton Speedway Drivers Inc. The speedway hosts evening race meetings during the warmer months, with the program varying between events.

Track:

436-metre clay and lime racing surface
Approximately 14-15 metres wide
Concrete safety wall, mesh catch fence and spectator safety fence

Racing:

Classes vary between meetings and may include Super Sedans, Sprintcars, Wingless Sprints, Formula 500s and Junior Sedans. Special events and championship rounds are also held during the season.

Motorsport events can be extremely loud, so hearing protection is recommended, particularly for children. Western Speedway is an outdoor venue, and meetings may be affected by rain, heat or track conditions.
