Gordon Barnard Reserve Fenced Dog Park (Balwyn North)

The fenced area is located between the swimming pool and eastern oval. There are a number of parking areas. Drive along the west side of the Boroondara Sports Complex to the largest car parking area at the rear. There is another small car park on the east side accessed from Belmore Road.
A lovely large fenced area which has lots of trees and a gravel path running around the fenced area. Most of the park has a sandy surface without grass but there are some strips of grass along the sides.

Natural features include a dry creek bed, lots of logs and rocks under the shade of trees and a sandpit to dig in.

There's some seats plus plenty of shaded rocks and logs to sit on. There are two entrances with double gates and bins and a water tap with bowl.
Check out the mural paying tribute to Boroondara's most popular dog breeds at the east end of the dog park.
The remainder of the reserve outside the fenced area is a dog on-leash area.
Opening Hours:
The dog park is closed for maintenance on Thursdays 7 am to 8:30 am.
