Falls Creek - Ropers Lookout
Trek the regenerating fire-damaged snowgums beyond the dam wall to a lookout with incredible views of Falls Creek, down the Kiewa Valley and over Rocky Valley Lake.
This easy 5 km, 1.5hours return walk hike with a natural staircase climb starts at the "Roper Lookout" sign at the eastern end of the Rocky Valley dam wall. Follow the aqueduct for 1.5 km before climbing a small gully among Snow Gums. Roper Lookout is a small basalt knoll and a great spot for a rest break or lunch with excellent views of Falls Creek Resort and the surrounding high country. Return along the same route.
