The Essendon Bowls Club has a rich history in the area providing a sporting and entertainment venue.

Essendon Bowls Club is a friendly high performing Bowls Club in Essendon for players all ages and abilities.

Our Club provides pathways to elite levels through our high performance teams. We also offer RSL Competitions on Friday mornings and Competitive Pennant Teams on weekdays and Saturdays.

If you're looking for some fun, we have barefoot bowls and social bowls on two excellent greens.

In addition, we have an entertainment area which is available for functions with a range of facilities including commercial kitchen, licensed bar and outdoor area.

On selected Sunday afternoons we have Rock'n'Bowl music sessions featuring talented musicians and bands.

We welcome new and experienced bowlers who want a place to enjoy bowls whether it's competitively, socially, simply watching games or using the Club venue for functions.

Barefoot Bowls
If you are looking for a unique and fun way to spend time with friends, family or work colleagues then a barefoot bowls experience at Essendon Bowls Club is a must do. And where better to tick off this bucket list experience than at the 'home of barefoot bowls'.

Anyone can play. No matter how young or old, we'll get you on the greens and have you bowling in no time. It is ideal for work parties, corporate events, team building or having fun in the sun with friends or family.

Make your special function at the Club even more special, and memorable, by including barefoot bowls for your guests. You can be sure they will remember it for many years to come.

Community Challenge
An introductory social lawn bowls competition made up of teams from the community - family groups, friendship groups, work place colleagues, school groups etc. No previous lawn bowls experience necessary - all equipment provided. Held over 4 consecutive Wednesday evenings in February and November.

Off-season Social Bowls
Essendon Bowls Club also hosts post season social bowls on a Saturday afternoon during the off-season while the greens remain open.
