Echuca - Port of Echuca Carriages

Port of Echuca Carriages, operated by Billabong Carriages, offers horse-drawn carriage rides through Echuca's historic port precinct. Passengers board at the hitching rails in Murray Esplanade before taking a relaxing ride through some of Echuca's heritage streets and buildings.

The usual route travels along Murray Esplanade past the Bridge Hotel, turns into High Street and passes historic buildings before turning near Beechworth Bakery and returning towards the Murray River and Port of Echuca.

The carriage team includes Clydesdales and Percherons, and senior drivers are accredited with Horse Safety Australia. Private carriage charters are also available, including longer river rides, weddings, functions and group outings.
