The Australian Light Horse Heritage Collection displays uniforms, saddlery, illustrations, documents and personal memorabilia connected with the Australian Light Horse.

Much of the collection was bequeathed by the late Ian Jones, an author, Ned Kelly historian and screenwriter and director associated with the 1987 film The Lighthorsemen.

Highlights include:
  • A tunic connected with a Light Horse charger at Beersheba
  • A tunic worn by a member of the 4th Light Horse Regiment
  • Transcripts describing the experiences and journeys of Australian troopers
  • Historic saddlery, uniforms, photographs and personal memorabilia
  • Interpretive displays about the Australian Light Horse
  • Public toilet
