Dawn Surf Co

Dawn Surf Co. offers adult-only surfing lessons at beaches around Torquay, Anglesea, Point Addis, Urquharts Bluff and Lorne. The surf school specialises in small, personalised classes designed to help adults learn in a calm and supportive environment away from the busiest beaches.

The six-week Learn to Surf program is suitable for complete beginners and people who have only tried surfing once or twice. Weekly two-hour lessons gradually cover standing, paddling, ocean awareness and progressing from whitewater to unbroken waves. Surfboards and premium wetsuits are provided, and each group is limited to a small number of participants.

Private two-hour lessons are also available for individuals, couples and small groups of up to five people. These sessions can be tailored to beginners, nervous surfers or more experienced participants seeking help with particular techniques. Equipment and complimentary GoPro and DSLR photographs are included.

Lesson locations are selected according to the weather, waves and experience of participants. Possible locations are beaches around Torquay, Anglesea, Point Addis, Urquharts Bluff and Lorne.

Dawn Surf Co. is affiliated with Surfing Victoria and operates as a licensed Parks Victoria tour operator.
