Cressy Historical Centre

The Cressy Historical Centre is housed in the former Presbyterian Church, an original bluestone building constructed in 1862. It is operated by the Cressy & District History Group Inc., which documents, preserves and shares the history of Cressy and the surrounding district.

The centre contains display boards, photographs, newspaper cuttings, artefacts and extensive historical records. Collection topics include:

Cressy and the surrounding communities of Berrybank, Cundare, Duverney, Foxhow, Weering and Werneth
Local families, businesses, community organisations and sporting groups
The devastating 1944 and 1977 bushfires
Cressy's railway history
The former Cressy RAAF Base
Local churches and Cressy School

Visitors can browse the displays or undertake local and family-history research. The group also welcomes donations of photographs and historical items relating to Cressy and the district.
