Cotes Loop Playground, Aintree
There is a sculptural play nest structure which takes its inspiration from the cup shapes and chimney-like openings of the Australian Reed-Warbler's nest.
In silhouettes and sculptures, dragonfly wings bring the vibrance of Woodlea's waterways into the play area, as well as the boardwalk, shelters and viewing area. Billy Button Sculptures are inspired by the cheerful Spring and Summer blooms of the Pycnosorus Globosus plant, these colourful steel discs add pops of colour to the play area.
The playground is suited to younger kids and is located next to a cafe and toilets.
