Colac Yacht Club


Colac Yacht Club is a family-friendly sailing club on the southern shore of Lake Colac. The club welcomes experienced sailors, beginners, crew members, volunteers and social members.
Activities include:
- Regular sailing and pennant racing on Lake Colac
- Annual regattas and other competitive sailing events
- Learn to Sail programs for children and adults, with boats and equipment supplied
- Discover Sailing sessions for people interested in trying the sport
- Opportunities to join an existing boat as a crew member
- Social activities and volunteering
- Remote-control yacht sailing, introduced during 2026
Sailing activities depend on suitable weather, wind and lake levels. Lake Colac is relatively shallow and water levels can vary substantially between seasons.
Facilities:
The clubhouse has direct access to Lake Colac. Parking is available near the club, while a public boat ramp and additional foreshore facilities are located nearby. Public barbecues, picnic tables, toilets and a playground are available farther east along the Lake Colac foreshore.
Opening Hours:
