Cohuna Beach

Cohuna Beach is a 150-metre-long manmade sandy beach on the banks of Gunbower Creek within Apex Park. The beach was created as part of the Cohuna waterfront redevelopment and provides an attractive spot for swimming, paddling and relaxing beside the creek. A jetty extends into Gunbower Creek from the beach.

The beach is suitable for paddling, swimming, kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. Apex Park also provides plenty of additional family facilities close to the beach.

There are BBQs, shelters, picnic tables, toilets, outdoor gym equipment, playground, skate park and paved walking trails at Apex Park.

Swimming Safety:

Cohuna Beach is an inland swimming location on Gunbower Creek. It should be treated as open water and children should be actively supervised around the creek. Gunbower Creek is a regulated waterway and its flow and water depth can vary.

Cohuna Beach is not patrolled.

Access for Dogs:

Dogs are permitted at Apex Park but must be kept on a leash. Owners must also carry a suitable means of cleaning up after their dog.
