Best Axe Throwing Venues in Melbourne

Axe throwing is an exciting indoor activity that combines skill, concentration and a little friendly competition. Whether you're organising a birthday celebration, a date night, a team-building event or something different to enjoy with friends, Melbourne has several venues where you can test your aim and try to hit the bullseye.

You don't need previous experience to give axe throwing a go. Dedicated venues provide safety instructions, equipment and coaching to help beginners learn the techniques. Many also offer competitive games and tournaments, making the experience entertaining for groups.

What to Expect

Most axe throwing experiences include:

A safety briefing and instructions from trained staff
Coaching on how to throw an axe safely and accurately
Individual or group throwing lanes with wooden targets
Games and friendly competitions
Options for birthdays, group celebrations and corporate events

Some venues also have bars, food and other entertainment activities.

Age Restrictions and Safety

Age restrictions vary between venues. MANIAX welcomes participants aged 11 years and over, with adult supervision required for those under 18. Other venues may have different age requirements or restrict certain sessions to adults.

Closed-toe shoes are generally required. Participants must follow staff instructions and venue safety rules at all times.

Bookings are recommended, particularly for weekends and larger groups.
