Beechworth Gorge Walk
Beechworth Gorge Walk explores the dramatic granite landscape and gold-mining history of Beechworth Historic Park. The Grade 2 route passes native forest, granite formations, rock pools, cascades and historic mining features, with views across Beechworth and the Woolshed Valley.
The complete circuit is normally 5 km and takes about one hour. However, Spring Creek Bridge is currently closed to pedestrians, cyclists and vehicles, preventing completion of the circuit.
Two return trips remain available:
Eastern Route
Walk or cycle from the Powder Magazine towards the Cascades, passing One Tree Hill, granite formations and seasonal wildflowers. The section from the Powder Magazine to the Cascades is approximately 1.2 km return.
Western Route
Follow Gorge Road from Newtown Bridge towards the Cascades, with views of the Rocky Mountain Tunnel, historic mining works and surrounding granite landscape. The route from Newtown Bridge to the Cascades is approximately 5 km return.

Access for Dogs:
Dogs are permitted in Beechworth Historic Park but must remain on a leash.
