Beech Forest - Otway e bikes

Otway e bikes offers guided electric bike tours along the Old Beechy Rail Trail from Beech Forest. The Ol’ Beechy Intro Tour follows an approximately 8.5 km return section of the gravel rail trail and takes about 1.5 hours.

The route passes through regenerating rainforest known locally as Fairyland before reaching the Otway ridgeline, with views towards the Great Southern Ocean and across the Western Volcanic Plains. The guide shares information about the local ecology, history, bush foods and traditional medicine plants.

The recommended minimum age for riding an e-bike is eight years. Children from two years old may travel in a tow-along trailer. Children’s bikes generally suit riders approximately 125–150 cm tall. Adult riders must be at least 150 cm tall and weigh no more than 120 kg. The combined maximum weight for children using a trailer is 45 kg.

Enclosed footwear is required. Wear comfortable clothing suitable for the Otways’ quickly changing weather conditions.
