Bannockburn Civic Heart Playground, Milton Street, Bannockburn
The area features an adventure playground, water play area, active recreation equipment and community facilities including public toilets, shaded seating, shelter, BBQs, shade, lighting, basketball ring and landscaped public space.
The playground features a giant tree house, two flying foxes (one with disk seat and one with harness seat), ninja style challenges and more. There is a rope net skirt leading up to the main tree house and a rope net tunnel leads over to the second elevated tree house which also has a vertical rope net tunnel for alternative access. From here there is a big tunnel slide back to the ground. The playground also has a big birds nest swing, spinning rope sphere (which is hard to spin around) and sandpit with spinning disk and digger.
There is an extensive Ninja style course for older kids / adults with challenging obstacles. Some elements are up high which makes it difficult for younger people. The course has a horizontal net to run through, three big soft balls to jump across, three high circles to traverse, cargo rope net to traverse with a jump pad and a hanging board traverse.
The water play area, which is partially shaded, features a splashpad with 40 interactive elements including a tipping bucket. There is also a little splash area for toddlers to the side. Unfortunately the water play area is often "down for maintenance".
