Apollo Bay Tennis Club

Apollo Bay Tennis Club is one of Victoria's oldest tennis clubs, having been established in 1886. Located within the Apollo Bay Recreation Reserve, the club provides a friendly environment for players of all ages and abilities, welcoming both local residents and visitors to enjoy a casual hit or join organised social tennis.

The club has three well-maintained outdoor hard courts that are used for social tennis, coaching, junior programs and Polwarth District Tennis Association competition. Visitors are welcome to use the courts for a casual game, with a tennis net generally left in place on one court for impromptu play. Racquets can also be borrowed, making it easy for holidaymakers to enjoy a game. The club encourages voluntary donations through an honesty box to help maintain the community-run facilities (when we went the tennis courts which are also used for netball did not have any nets up).

Regular social tennis sessions are held throughout the week and new players are always welcome, whether they are complete beginners or experienced players. Coaching and junior tennis programs are also available during the season.

Visitor Information

Court hire: Visitors and campers are very welcome to play.
Fee: A $5 donation per player is requested to help maintain the courts.
Payment: Donations can be placed through the clubhouse door slot or paid online.

Saturday: 8:30 am – 4:00 pm: League matches (term times), Juniors in the morning, Seniors in the afternoon
Sunday: 10:00 am – 1:00 pm: Social tennis
