Apex Park Playground, Clements Street, Wangaratta
A beautifully crafted playground which is fully fenced and mostly covered in shade sails. This is an all-abilities playground with paths to all play areas. The highlight for older kids is a tall tower with a big spiral slide and small but steep wave slide. There is a rope net ladder on the side but also internal steps/stairs.
Nearby is another lower tower with a wave slide, shopfronts, ladder and scrambling wall. This area also has vertical poles with metal spikes for climbing, log and stump balance circuit, see-saw, koala in a tree sculpture and birds nest swing.
The next area is covered in shade sails and has a distorting mirror, labyrinth leading to a wombat, sandpit containing a wombat, spinning disk with seat, stand-on spinner, elevated rope tunnel to climb through and two lovely xylophones.
Higher up is an unshaded area with three swings, climbing area with rope nets and a huge hamster wheel.
The fenced area has shaded seating and water tap. Beside the playground is a huge shelter with four tables, another huge shelter with seats, toilets, grassy areas, BBQs and excellent parkour area.
