Anglesea River Mouth Beach

Anglesea River Mouth Beach is located where Kuarka Dorla - the Anglesea River - meets Bass Strait. The sandy river mouth provides a relatively sheltered place for paddling, fishing and enjoying the riverbank, although conditions change according to river levels, tides and whether the sandbar is open or closed.

This beach is separate from Anglesea Main Beach, which extends westwards from the river mouth towards Anglesea Surf Life Saving Club.

Lifesaving Services:

Anglesea River Mouth Beach is not patrolled. Nearby Anglesea Beach is patrolled seasonally. Always swim between the red and yellow flags when lifesavers are operating.

Access for Dogs:

Seasonal dog restrictions apply around Anglesea’s beaches and river mouth. Check the signs at each access point before entering the beach with a dog.

Accessibility:

Accessible parking and paved paths are provided at the Four Kings car park. Seasonal access matting connects the path with the riverbank. Beach mobility equipment must be booked in advance.
