Anglesea Golf Club


Anglesea Golf Club is set amongst native bushland a short distance from the Great Ocean Road and is particularly well known for the large population of Eastern Grey Kangaroos that live around the course. The club is open to visitors as well as members and offers an 18-hole golf course, driving range, mini golf, professional shop, coaching, Kangaroo Tours, bar and on-course accommodation.
Golf Course:
The 18-hole course began with nine holes designed by Vern Morcom which opened in 1953, with the second nine opening in 1961. The present course has a course rating of 73 and includes 42 bunkers. Fairways wind through native bushland and golfers frequently share the course with the resident kangaroos.Public golfers can book either 9 or 18 holes. Golf clubs, pull buggies and motorised carts are available for hire through the Pro Shop.
Driving Range:
The club has a 250 metre driving range with 12 individual bays. There are also two practice putting greens, a chipping green and practice nets. The driving range is open to non-members, with range balls available from the machine outside the Pro Shop using EFTPOS.Mini Golf:
There is an 18-hole outdoor mini golf course set amongst the rolling fairways and bushland. It is designed for both children and adults, with a mixture of easy and more challenging holes. Mini golf opens daily from 8am and bookings are made through the Pro Shop.Kangaroo Tours:
The golf course is home to a colony of more than 300 Eastern Grey Kangaroos. Guided 25-minute Kangaroo Tours travel around the course in a specially designed 13-seat vehicle, with guides providing information about the kangaroos, other wildlife and conservation work. Tours are suitable for all ages and operate subject to weather and operational conditions.Golf Lessons:
Private and group golf lessons and clinics are available through the Pro Shop. The shop also hires clubs, pull buggies and motorised carts and sells golf clubs, clothing, footwear and accessories.Bar and Clubhouse:
The clubhouse overlooks the 18th fairway and includes the Spike Bar. The club also offers food at selected times; check the current club information before visiting as food-service arrangements can change.Opening Hours:
