Altona Community Garden
Altona Community Gardens Inc is a local volunteer led group which aims to take advantage of open spaces in our community to grow fruit and vegetables and provide access to nutritionally rich foods grown using organic methods and sustainable practices. We are passionate about building community spirit through gardening.
Altona Community Gardens Inc is located in Den Dulk Reserve.
Our garden currently consists of individual raised garden plots, some fruit trees, a composting area and herb pots. We also have communal beds for demonstrating and sharing produce, a small hydroponic set up for propagation and other spaces for workshops and demonstrations.
