Aireys Inlet - Land's End Lookout Lookout

Land's End Lookout is a spectacular clifftop viewpoint at the eastern end of Aireys Inlet, offering uninterrupted views across Bass Strait and the rugged coastline of the Great Ocean Road. A short walk from Lighthouse Road leads to the lookout, where visitors can enjoy dramatic ocean scenery, towering limestone cliffs and the wild beauty that makes this stretch of coastline so memorable.

The lookout is located only a few minutes' walk from the historic Split Point Lighthouse, making it easy to combine the two attractions. From the viewing area, visitors can look east towards Fairhaven Beach and Moggs Creek, while westward views take in the rocky shoreline around Eagle Rock and the Aireys Inlet coastline. The elevated position also makes it an excellent location for photography, particularly at sunrise when the first light illuminates the cliffs and ocean.

Land's End Lookout is a popular place for wildlife watching. Between May and October, Humpback and Southern Right Whales are sometimes seen migrating offshore, while pods of dolphins occasionally pass close to the coast. The surrounding cliffs and coastal heath also provide habitat for a variety of seabirds that soar effortlessly on the ocean updrafts.

The lookout is connected to the Split Point Lighthouse Precinct Walks, allowing visitors to continue exploring nearby viewpoints including Eagle Rock and the lighthouse precinct. Although the walk is short and suitable for most visitors, care should be taken near the unfenced cliff edges, especially in windy conditions.
