Wabonga - Dandongadale Falls

Wabonga - Dandongadale Falls

Located 48 km from Cheshunt (4.8 km from Whitfield in the King Valley). The Falls are only viewable from a small section of narrow gravel track. A small carpark area makes stopping possible for up to four vehicles at a time.

There are three Falls dropping from the top of a massive granite Plateau. The main Falls (centre) are the highest single drop waterfall in Victoria and are most impressive after rain. It is recommended that you take a camera with good zoom capabilities for this attraction.

A camping area is located 2 km above the Falls viewing area at Lake Cobbler.

The track is mostly gravel, and sections near the Falls are rough. It is possible to do this trip in a car in summer, though a 4x4 is required in winter due to the track being extremely wet and slippery in areas. Always let someone know of your travel plans.
