Volcano Park Playground, Lancewood Place, Craigieburn

Quick, the volcano is erupting. You can go down the big metal slide to safety, hop down using the three in-ground trampolines or fry to a crisp. Your choice but be brave. After the eruption, you can dig in the volcanic gravel pit with two diggers, climb the huge atom shaped rope climbing frame, use the hanging tyre swing or swing around by your arms on the revolving cylinder. Don't bother trying the water pump next to the creek bed though since it doesn't work and the volcano will turn water to steam! If you survive, you can relax under the shelter with two tables and a water tap.

There is also a grassy area which hasn't been tinged by the heat of the lava yet (although global warming might still affect that grass). Check out the inscriptions around the base of the trees in the park which refer to the volcanic past of the area.
