The Victorian Bulb Society (Forest Hill)

We are a group of gardeners that have an interest in bulbs, rhizomes, corms and tubers. We meet the 4th Wednesday of each month in Forest Hill / Vermont.

Our meetings can be about a range of bulb topics and activities. They can include guest speakers, hands on planting sessions, DVDs and more. After each meeting we hold a plant raffle and plant auction where you might find some really special plants! Finally we end the night we a supper and social chat. All levels of experience welcome.

The meetings are a great place to meet like minded gardeners and to discover new bulbs which are not readily available through mainstream nurseries in Australia. Some are grown from seed sourced overseas. There's nothing like local knowledge - our members might know a better way to grow a bulb you're having difficulty with. You may even be able to swap bulbs with another member. You have nothing to lose by coming along to one of our meetings. Even if you've never been to a garden group before, we'll make you feel welcome.
