The Gurdies Nature Conservation Reserve (The Gurdies)

The Gurdies Nature Conservation Reserve is 260 hectares in size and has multiple walking tracks.

The Reserve represents some of the largest remaining areas of native vegetation on the eastern shore of Westernport. It is home to a variety of animals, birdlife and even native orchids.

Location: Start at Bass Highway or Dunbabbin Road, The Gurdies

  • Length/Time - 5.8km return /1.5 hours return
  • Difficulty: Easy
  • Track surface: Sand, gravel
  • Horses may use vehicle width tracks south of and including the central management track
  • Mountain bike riding permitted on vehicle width tracks
  • Picnic table
