The Eltham Concert Band (Eltham)
The Band is an amateur concert band of about 50 members that rehearses weekly from February to December under the direction of our Musical Director. We are non auditioning, but aim to achieve a high standard.
We have two major concerts a year, plus we play at community events such as the Eltham Farmers' Market and the Warrandyte Carols.
As a large wind ensemble, Eltham Concert Band includes Woodwind, Brass, and Percussion instruments, supplemented by String Bass. New players are always welcome. In the past, band members have ranged in age from 15 to 80+. While most of us just enjoy playing and performing to as high a standard possible, some of our players have a professional background in music. Members are encouraged to take the opportunity to perform solo items with the Band.
The rehearsal venue is the Eltham Community Centre.
