Tea Tree Falls (Flinders)

Tea Tree Falls (Flinders)

The falls which are also named Quarry Falls and Yallerong Falls are located at Cairns Bay in the Mornington Peninsula National Park.

The falls, which are seasonal and only run after rain, have an overall height of 10.7m with two main tiers.

The top tier of the falls was created due to a quarry that was on Tea Tree Creek but the bottom tier is a natural waterfall. There are a few relics from the old quarrying days rusting away at Cairns Bay.

Access - At the end of the Mornington Peninsula Freeway, continue through the first roundabout (Jetty Road) and turn left into Boneo Road at the second roundabout. Continue along Boneo Road for 16.5km towards Flinders until you reach the Cairns Bay carpark (approximately 1844 Boneo Road, Flinders).

Walk down the track from the car park for 400m and you will find the upper falls on the northern wall. Continue along the track for a further 400m to near the beach where the lower tier is located.
