St Johns Catholic Tennis Club (Heidelberg)
St Johns Catholic Tennis Club is located in Heidelberg and has 3 synthetic grass courts with lights. Our club house and courts are at the rear of the St John's Catholic Church.
St John's Catholic Tennis Club is part of the parish complex of St John's Heidelberg located on the corner of Yarra and Cape Streets, Heidelberg. This complex embraces the historic St John's Church (established in 1853) and Presbytery and St John's Primary School. Access to the club is via the car park in Yarra Street next to the Presbytery.
Competition
St Johns Catholic Tennis Club participates in the local NENTG, HDTA, DVTA, NEJTA and ERT tennis associations and groups. In the various night competitions the club has Veterans, Mens, Womens and Mixed teams. During the midweek there are ladies, senior veterans and metro masters teams playing in competitions and, most recently, Saturday afternoon ERT Senior Open doubles competition. There is also a number of boys and girls teams playing in Friday, Saturday and Sunday Junior competitions.
Social Tennis
Members can join our Friday morning social tennis from 9am and Sunday mornings cater for social tennis from 8am.
Coaching
Coaching programs are run by Head Coach, Peter Jedrys from Triple Ace Tennis coaching. Tennis programs include Cardio Tennis, Free Tennis and Open Court Sessions.
