St Francis Xavier Tennis Club (Montmorency)

St Francis Xavier Tennis Club is a thriving club nestled in the heart of Montmorency that embraces the traditional Catholic values of the Parish in which it is located. Situated at the back of the St Francis Xavier Primary School the club boasts 3 en tout cas courts all under lights, a vintage clubhouse and great opportunities for new people to get involved in competitions, coaching, or social play.

Since its inception the club has been very successful over the years with a number of section 1 victories. Competition tennis is so popular that courts are hired at various nearby locations to accommodate the large number of players wishing to participate. Our club is one of the largest in the area, providing competition, social and coaching opportunities for all standards.

St Francis Xavier is run by a passionate group of volunteers who love tennis. The club aims to give people in the area the opportunity to play tennis in a fun, social and sometimes competitive environment.

Competitions

St Francis Xavier Tennis Club Junior's have the opportunity to participate in two competitions - Saturday mornings in the NEJTA competition and Friday evenings in the DVTA.

Adult competitions are:
- Tuesday night men compete in the NENTG competition
- Thursday night men compete in the DVTA competition.
- Wednesday night women's teams compete in the NENTG.
- Monday night mixed teams compete in the DVTA.
-Mid-Week ladies competition is played on a Tuesday morning competing in the HDTA.

Hot Shots Match Play

Hot Shots Match Play is a fun and social way for kids aged 7-11 to get introduced into team tennis and is played at both Orange Ball and Green Ball level. Kids who become involved in Match Play will learn the basics of game play, as well as scoring in a fun, safe environment with the supervision of Fireball Tennis Academy coaches. Match Play teams are made up of both boys and girls and seasons are aligned with the school term and run for six weeks.
