RMIT Gallery (Central Melbourne)

The Gallery presents an exemplary program of local, Australian and international creative works, research outcomes and cultural stories.

The public exhibition program delivers distinctive visual art, new media, sonic art, design, popular culture, technology, and art fusions across five museum-standard galleries. Our exhibitions promote deeper interactions between RMIT and a global public audience, with a focus on external partnerships and digital dissemination.

The gallery has a very interesting exterior and extensive display areas (there are entrances to display rooms on both sides of the reception desk). The exhibitions are typically related in some way to RMIT. When we last visited there were good quality items and they were well presented. The exhibition was "Melbourne Modern - European Art & Design at RMIT since 1945".
