Ringwood Swimming Club (Ringwood / Croydon)

Ringwood Swimming Club has a proud history, first established in 1933 we have been an integral part of the sport of swimming in the district since. Our primary goal at the club is to support every member, from the beginner to the most competitive swimmer in a socially connected way. We aim to develop each swimmer in line with their individual goals.

We offer a comprehensive timetable with opportunities from beginners to National level swimmers. We also provide opportunities for social swimmers, young and young at heart.

Squads


High Performance
Sessions per week: 9
Swimmers in High Performance Squad are expected to attend 6 pool sessions per week of 2 hours in duration. In addition to this, swimmers are expected to attend 2 gym sessions per week and dryland for 30 minutes prior to all pool sessions. Swimmers in this squad are expected to make a high commitment to competitive swimming to achieve success at state level competitions.

Performance
Sessions per week: 7
Swimmers in Performance Squad are expected to attend 5 pool sessions per week of 2 hours in duration. In addition to this, swimmers are expected to attend 1 gym session per week and dryland for 30 minutes prior to all pool sessions. Swimmers in this squad are expected to make a commitment to competitive swimming to achieve state qualifying times and compete regularly at external meets.

Development
Sessions per week: 5
Swimmers in Development Squad are expected to attend 4 pool sessions per week of 2 hours in duration. In addition to this, swimmers are expected to do dryland for 30 minutes prior to all afternoon pool sessions. Swimmers are expected to make a commitment to competitive swimming to achieve success at external competitions.

Ryan A & B
Sessions offered per week: 4
Swimmers in Ryan A & B squads are expected to attend 3 pool training sessions per week of 1.5 - 2 hours in duration. Swimmers are expected to compete and work to achieve success in district level competitions.

Hentschel A & B
Sessions per week: 2
Swimmers in these squads are expected to attend 2 pool training sessions per week of1 - 1.5hours in duration. Swimmers are expected to have a desire to compete and work to achieve success at club level competitions.

Fry A & B
Sessions per week: 2
Swimmers in these squads are expected to attend a 1-hour pool training session per week. Swimmers in these squads are expected to have good stamina and a desire to compete in competitions within the club and outside.

Novice
Sessions per week: 1
Swimmers in this squad are expected to attend a 1-hour pool training session per week. Swimmers in this squad are expected have a desire to compete and be willing to participate in introductory level competitions within the club.
