At Pulse Gymnastics we offer a dedicated gymnastics facility located in the northern suburb of Epping. Established in 2016, Pulse Gymnastics mission is to provide exceptional gymnastics programs for children in the community of all ages and abilities. Pulse Gymnastics aims to provide quality gymnastics classes with coaches who can help children reach their full potential.

The facility offers international-standard Spieth equipment (official supplier for World Championships Germany 2019/ Commonwealth Games Gold Coast 2018) including a 14m x 14m sprung floor, balance beams, uneven bars, single high bars, vaulting tables, a 12m tumbling trampoline, sprung tumbling strip, a large European in ground trampoline and a 70 square metre inground foam pit. In addition to the main apparatus, the facility also has equipment such as foam shapes, climbing ropes and other soft matting to assist in the development of fine and gross motor skills.

Pulse gymnastics runs programs for children aged 4 months (baby Gym) old through to adults. Natasha and her team of experienced coaches look forward to offering you quality gymnastics classes in a safe, encouraging and engaging facility.

Programs


Baby Gym Program - 4 months old to 2 years old.
As an introduction to gymnastics, we offer classes that have been developed to teach children strong foundation skills for their critical early years.

The Baby Gym Program has been designed to cater for all ability levels of development, from non-crawling to walking children whilst still maintaining a strong emphasis on play and child/guardian bonding. Not only does this class stimulate babies and toddlers, yet you also play a very important part in this class as it is your job to facilitate these movement opportunities through support and holding your child.

Baby Gym combines gentle movement, music, massage, tummy time, social interaction, core strength, vestibular stimulation and dance to help you put the 'natural' back into your baby's development. It will also provide activities that help your baby learn about themselves and the world around them, stimulating their brain to create the foundations for learning.

The program includes use of large equipment, small equipment, and you as the helper to develop fine and gross motor skills and body awareness.

Baby Gym Program - 2 years old to 6 years old
As an introduction to gymnastics, we offer classes that have been developed to teach children basic gymnastics skills in a fun, encouraging and engaging environment.

Junior Gymnastics combines games, music, structured and progressive activities that focus on Dominant Movement Patterns (DMP). The Dominant Movement Patterns are Spring, Rotation, Statics, Landings, Locomotion and Swing. These DMP's have been developed to provide a solid foundation for physical development in children. The Junior Gymnastics Program has been designed to cater for all ability levels, whilst still maintaining a strong emphasis on fun.

The program includes use of large equipment, small equipment and hand held apparatus to develop fine and gross motor skills. The Junior Gymnastics Program will help children to develop their balance, coordination and spatial awareness skills as well as teaching those important values of discipline, goal setting and team work. The program allows all children to feel a sense of achievement in a safe and fun environment.

All Junior Gymnastics Classes include a warm up, flexibility and strength activities, gymnastics shapes and structured circuits.

General Gymnastics - 7 to 11 years old
A program developed teaching basic skills through to more advanced.

The program teaches children basic gymnastics skills and progresses through to more advanced skills in a fun, positive and encouraging environment. General Gymnastics combines structured activities with the focus on Dominant Movement Patterns (DMP). The Dominant Movement Patterns are Spring, Rotation, Statics, Landings, Locomotion and Swing. These DMP's have been developed to assist in the sound physical development of children and cater for all ability levels. The General Gymnastics program offers a great base for gymnastics and allows gymnasts to progress at their own rate, whilst maintaining a strong emphasis on fun.

All General Gymnastics classes include a warm up, flexibility and strength activities, gymnastics shapes and structured circuits. The class is called "springers" and is divided into 3 levels; with all gymnasts starting at Bronze moving their way up to Silver and then Gold.

Teen Gymnastics - 12 to 16 years old
Offers adolescents the ability to develop their gymnastics skills as well as their health and fitness.

Through the Teen Gymnastics program gymnasts have the opportunity to develop the basic skills of gymnastics through to more advanced skills in a fun, positive and engaging environment. Classes run for 90 minutes in Teen Gym and 2 Hours in Teen WAG. Classes include a warm up, flexibility and strength activities and gymnastics structured circuits. The class provides the opportunity for gymnasts to achieve their personal goals.

Advancing on from the 90 minute class, Pulse offers Teen WAG. The program provides opportunities for gymnasts to learn more advanced skills. The class is suitable for gymnasts with a background of gymnastics, dancers interested in advancing their acrobatic skills and ex competitive gymnasts. Entry into the Teen WAG class is by assessment only.

Adult Gymnastics - 17 years old +
The program is perfect for both individuals with gymnastics experience and those who have never tried gymnastics before!

The focus is on improving overall fitness, strength and flexibility. Pulse offers a supportive environment to learn and develop gymnastics skills. Classes run for 90 minutes and include a warm up, flexibility and strength activities and gymnastics skills. The class provides the opportunity for gymnasts to achieve personal goals.

Development Gymnastics - 5 to 8 years old
The Development Gymnastics program offers gymnasts the opportunity to excel in the sport of gymnastics.

Gymnasts in this program quickly progress through the basic skills of gymnastics before moving into the competitive program. There is a strong emphasis on strength, flexibility and correct technique to assist in the progression into a competitive gymnastics program.

The Program is generally 2 years in duration, with gymnasts beginning in Development Bronze moving their way to Silver and then Gold.

Women's Artistic Gymnastics Competitive Program
At Pulse Gymnastics we are committed to providing a high quality Women's Competitive Program. The Program offers gymnasts the opportunity to excel in the sport of gymnastics. Pulse follows Gymnastics Australia's Levels Program for females. At Pulse we strive for gymnasts to foster a desire to continue in the competitive program and to have the ability to reach their full potential.

The competitive program is by selection only. Gymnasts will often enter the program from the Development program or the Recreational program. The Program involves increased training hours and gymnasts must to be dedicated and committed to their training. Training squads are divided by age, level and training hours to provide quality training sessions. Training Sessions are carefully planned out to help gymnasts reach their full potential. Gymnasts are expected to attend holiday training and competitions set out for them in their competition season. Training hours vary from 6 - 20 hours of training per week.

As each competition season is approaching, parents will receive information on the competitions set out for their child. Competitions are carefully selected and are an integral part of competitive gymnastics.

Birthday Parties
At Pulse we strive to give children one of the best birthday parties they have ever had! All Birthday Parties run for 90 minutes. The party format is 45 minutes of warm up, games and gymnastics circuits, 15 minute break for party food (self-catered party) and 30 minutes of more gymnastics circuits, parachute and presentation of birthday gift and certificates for all participants.

School Holiday Program
At our School Holiday Program children will have the opportunity to learn new tricks, keep fit and progress their skills in a fun environment.
