Port Melbourne Life Saving Club

Port Melbourne Life Saving Club

Established 1913, Port Melbourne Life Saving Club now consists of these amalgamated clubs, South Port, Esplanade, Middle Park and Port Melbourne.

Port Melbourne Life Saving Club is situated in the picturesque cove of Port Philip Bay. Port Melbourne Life Saving Club is proudly staffed by volunteers of all ages, from the local community, who donate their time, skills and expertise to keep Port Melbourne beach safe for swimmers and visitors.

The life saving club has transitioned through many changes over the past century. However one thing that has remained steady, is the focus and dedication of its members, to keep Port Melbourne beach safe and educate the local community about surf life saving services.

Port Melbourne Life Saving Club boasts a robust junior Nippers program, that runs through the summer months, for children under 14 years of age.

Port Melbourne Life Saving Club proudly supports its junior members, who are over 14 years of age, to gain leadership development, communications and surf skills, through the Youth Involvement Programs.

Our club has hundreds of members aged from five to eighty five years old, who hail from a diverse cross-section of our society. We pride ourselves as an inclusive and equal opportunity, community based organisation. All are welcome to join!
