Mount Bruno - Pine Gully Falls (Warby-Ovens National Park)

Mount Bruno - Pine Gully Falls (Warby-Ovens National Park)

The seasonal Pine Gully Falls are accessed by a grade 3 2km loop walk. It is steep and rocky in places and can be slippery. Suitable footwear is essential. The falls are reached by the Pine Gully Nature Trail which starts at Wangandary Road. There is a self-guided walk with information boards which introduces visitors to the park's natural values and is an excellent place to appreciate the wildflowers in spring. As the name suggests, the locality is noted for its native Cypress Pines.

This walk is best tackled in a clockwise direction. Most of the walk is easy, but there are some steep and rocky sections and it can be slippery. Descend the slope from the carpark and cross the creek.

Follow the circuit which will eventually bring you to the viewing platform at the top of the Pine Gully Falls, a particularly attractive spectacle when flowing after sufficient rain. The track then follows the creek and leads a short distance back to the picnic area.

At Pine Gully Picnic Area there are picnic tables, barbecue facilities and pit toilets.

See the map to get an orientation of the area near the waterfall.

Access for Dogs:
