Nicola Davis Conservation Reserve (South Morang)

The Nicola Davis Conservation Reserve was named for former Councillor Nicola Davis in April 2017. Prior to that time it was known as the Mill Park Lakes Nature Reserve.
Nicola was a North Ward Whittlesea councillor from November 2012 until April 2014 when she passed away after a short battle with cancer at the young age of 35.
The Nicola Davis Conservation Reserve is protected by a Trust for Nature Covenant so the eight hectare site will remain as a natural refuge for flora and fauna.
Review:
The reserve is a grassland dotted with some trees. We saw a large mob of kangaroos early in the morning but it was difficult to walk around the area since it was quite muddy.
