The aim of Scouting is to encourage the physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual development of young people so that they take a constructive place in society as a member of their local, national and international community.

For each generation of Scouts, the challenge has remained the same: to make a better world and have some fun along the way.

Scouts is for girls and boys between the ages of 6 and 26. Come along, have fun, make friends, learn a few things.

Joey Scouts is for 6 & 7 year olds, Cub Scouts is for young people of ages 8, 9 and 10, Scouts is for young people 11, 12, 13 & 14 years old, Venturer Scouts is for young people of ages 15, 16 & 17 and Rover Scouts is for young adults between the ages of 18 and 26.

1st Mount Waverley Scout Group has a Joey scout mob (age range: 5-7), Cub scout pack (age range: 8-10), Scout troop (age range: 11-14) and Wodalla Venturer unit (age range: 15-17).
