Mount Macedon Memorial Cross
After Melbourne's Shrine of Remembrance, Mount Macedon Memorial Cross is considered the most significant war memorial in Victoria. Located on the summit of Mountt Macedon, this imposing structure stands 21 metres high and commemorates all those who served in wars and conflicts.
There are picnic and BBQ areas and the "Top of the Range Tea Rooms" serves Devonshire tea and snacks in a spacious cafe with a shabby-chic gift shop and mountain views.
A short walk along a sealed path from the tearooms takes you to the Memorial Cross and spectacular views south and back towards Melbourne can be enjoyed at several locations.
