Dodds Creek Beach (Flinders)

Dodds Creek Beach (Flinders)

The town of Flinders lies behind the elongated Flinders Point. Beaches lie either side of the point, with two sheltered beaches on the east side called Dodds Creek and Kennon Cove.

Dodds Creek Beach faces east and is backed by 20 to 40 m high, vegetated bluffs. The beach is 400 m long; has the creek draining across the southern end; houses perched on the bluffs; and 100 to 200 m wide reef flats in front.

A usually calm beach, with bathing off the beach only possible at mid to high tide.

There is an access road off Cove Lane.

The beach has a General Beach Hazard Rating of 4/10 (Moderately hazardous)

Review:

Fairly inaccessible and requires a bit of a walk from Flinders. Best left to the dog walkers.
