Shoreham Camping Beach

Shoreham Camping Beach

Shoreham is a small holiday settlement lying between Flinders Road and the coast. A foreshore reserve parallels the beach with the Shoreham Foreshore Camping Reserve located behind the main beach.

The beach is very protected and usually has no waves. Shoreham Camping Beach is 1.5 km long and curves around to face south-east. Extensive sand and reef flats front the beach and, as a result, the beach has deep water only at mid to high tide. The tidal flats, and often seaweed, are exposed at low tide.

Swimming is better at mid to high tide when the water is in.

The beach has a General Beach Hazard Rating of 3/10 (Least hazardous).

Access for Dogs:

Dogs are prohibited.

Review:

There is very limited parking for visitors and it is a very long walk down to the beach which is covered in seaweed. If the truth be told, I couldn't be bothered walking all that distance for what looks like a very ordinary beach. There's no excuse to come here unless you stay at the camping grounds.
