Aurora Playground, Craigieburn East Road, Wollert
The playground is in the Aurora Estate and looks very impressive. Unfortunately the playground is more about pizzazz than play. It has a huge sculptural pipe work which creates a framework for some shading above the playground and a long sloping rope net, four big gargantuan hanging donuts and a hanging disk traverse. Underneath is soft spongy base with big hollows which contain a metal slide, climbing holds across the sides, sloping parallel bars, in-ground trampoline and another rope net. A few cute little springers.
Under a shade roof are two tables, BBQ and water tap. Very limited grassy area, no swings and some unshaded seating. There is another playground across the road.
