Frank Street Park Dog Off Leash Area (Glenroy)

Frank Street Park Dog Off Leash Area (Glenroy)

Near the entrance point from Fran Street is a playground with a shelter with a table, unshaded tables, BBQ, bin and water tap with bowl.

There is a 750m long grassy strip dotted with trees which has the Moonee Ponds Trail and Creek on the western side.

The south east side has a huge slope if you want some strenuous exercise up to appropriately named Outlook Drive.

The creek has long grass and reeds along the bank. 100m to the north of the playground is some public art, Temple by Penny Agar. To the north the grassy area is about 70m wide and stretches as far as the eye can see and some areas are dotted with trees. There are seats positioned along the way. A fence borders the east side and the creek and trail border the west side.

Note: This is a description of the off leash area from the council.
The off-lead areas runs from the Railway Bridge at the end of Outlook Drive, Glenroy, to the last river crossing bridge at the end of Primula Boulevard, Gowanbrae.

Please be mindful that the off-lead space is only on the eastern side of the Moonee Ponds Creek only as far as that northern bridge. Any further north and we're back into on-lead space.
