There is a 100m long x 25m wide grassy strip with a shaded seat and bin. There is no water tap. The rest of the park is on steep land with thick bush without any tracks.

The reserve formed part of the main campfire hollow for the first Australian Scout Jamboree between December 27, 1934 and January 13, 1935. The Jamboree attracted over 100,000 visitors. 11,000 scouts from 21 nations attended, together with the founder of scouting, Lord Robert Baden-Powell.

This park is also known as Jamboree Park.
