The section of this trail between Argyle Road and Burke Road is an on-leash area. At the point where the trail crosses Argyle Road the off-leash area starts and there is a bin. A strip of grassy area about 20m wide runs beside the trail. The grassy area opens out to become much wider where there is a playground, a bin and a water tap with water bowl beside the trail.
Where the trail crosses Normanby Road there is a bin and a cricket pitch and basketball court in a big grassy area. Generally you can walk in grassy areas beside the trail rather than on the trail. The trail ends at High Street where it becomes an on-leash area again.
