Fosters Beach Dog Off Leash Area (Mornington)

Fosters Beach Dog Off Leash Area (Mornington)

Fosters Beach, which is only 80m long, is the most northerly of four beaches lying below the Esplanade, but little used owing to the difficult access and limited parking.

Opposite #630 Esplanade is a walking track with steps down the cliff which branches off to the north to the small, sandy beach in the shape of an arc. The track continues to the equally isolated Fossil beach.

The cliffs are steep and unstable so be careful with kids. The northern end is all rocks, as is the southern end, but in between is a sandy area with a few rocks. At the ends there are some rock pools to explore.

Access for Dogs:

The beach is leash free all the time for the whole year.
