The Nunawading Spectres have a long and proud history as the representative teams of the Melbourne East Basketball Association (MEBA). From humble beginnings, to becoming a powerhouse program in Australian Basketball, the Nunawading Spectres are synonymous with success and an iconic brand in the Australian sporting landscape.
Together, with the very MEBA Domestic Clubs we represent, the Nunawading Spectres have produced more Australian Olympic and World Championship players and coaches than any other program in the country.
As a program, we're constantly looking at new methods to stay ahead of the trend. We have a strong team of excellent coaching and administration staff that are striving with our players to be the most successful program in Australia.

Junior Program - The Nunawading Spectres Junior Program are the representative teams of the Melbourne East Basketball Association, and one of Australia's most successful basketball programs.
We currently have teams competing in the Under 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20 Melbourne United Victorian Junior Basketball League on Friday nights.
The Spectres program offers our players the opportunity to compete in State and National Championships, as well as local and interstate tournaments throughout the season, including our very own tournament held over the Queens Birthday long weekend.
Senior Program - The Nunawading Spectres were a foundation member of Australia's National Basketball League in 1979, having dominated Australia's premier club competition, the V.A.B.A. for many years. In the Women's National Basketball League (WNBL), the Spectres were a powerhouse, winning 6 Championships through the 1980's and featuring some of Australia's most recognisable basketball figures.
Today, our senior teams continue to compete at an elite level in the South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL), and Big V (Victorian Youth Championship U23)
