Blackburn Vikings Basketball Club (Blackburn North)
Blackburn Vikings are a basketball club with teams in the EDJBA, VJBL and Big V. Blackburn Vikings Basketball provides domestic and representative basketball to people of all ages looking to enjoy, develop and participate at any level.
Domestic Basketball - Blackburn Vikings Basketball fields teams in both boys and girls from under 8's to adults. Each season more than 100 teams are entered to cater for over 800 registered players of varying ages and abilities.
To prepare players for competition young children between the ages of 5 to 10 years can participate in our Aussie Hoops and Miniball Programs which teaches them the basic skills of Basketball and team play.
Representative Basketball - Blackburn Vikings Basketball provides representative basketball to players of all ages looking to both develop their basketball and play at the highest level.
The junior program is apart of the Victorian Junior Basketball League (VJBL), the largest competition in Victoria with teams from all over the state. Currently there are 32 representative teams (Boys and Girls) from under 12's to under 20's.
The senior program encompasses a senior men and women's team competing in the Big V. The program offers an opportunity for players who have been through the junior program at Vikings or elsewhere to continue their basketball at the senior level.
