At the carpark on the west side of the very large park, near the Yarraleen Preschool, is a rubbish bin and a fairly large, shallow, grassy bowl fringed by trees with a gravel track around the outside. To the east of this area is a playground with shade sails, basketball court, unshaded table and water tap with bowl.

To the south and east of the playground are big grassy areas dotted with trees and cut by bitumen paths.

The eastern end of the park has the Yarraleen Raingarden. The information board states "The Yarraleen Reserve Raingarden has been designed according to Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD) principles to retard and filter stormwater runoff from the catchment area of neighbouring streets. This approach to stormwater design aims to sustainably manage and improve the quality of water entering Melbourne's waterways and a Port Phillip Bay. Stormwater passing through the Yarraleen Reserve Raingarden eventually enters the Yarra via the Bolin Bolin Billabong."

There are plenty of seats scattered about and an interesting feature is the Peace Path. This artwork was created by Bulleen residents, schools and community groups to represent a shared vision for a safe, peaceful, resilient and connected community.
