The main oval and an area to the east (between the Bill Vanina Pavilion and the playground) along Childers Street are dog off leash areas while dogs are prohibited from the synthetic sports field and playground area. The remaining areas are dog on leash areas. The off leash area can be a bit tricky to find but there are some maps on site.
West of the main oval is an Extreme Sports Precinct which is on-leash and has a skate park, BMX Pump Track, water tap without a bowl, tables, BBQ and toilet. There is a lovely mural along Childers Street which is 120m long. The area near the playground has bins, water tap with bowl, toilets and basketball court.
