The swimming pool is located on the side of Lake Mulwala and there are many amenities including a waterslide and splash park, BBQ's, playgrounds, water tap, shaded seating areas, public toilets and rotunda.

There is a pool area in Lake Mulwala which is a 50m x 35m rectangle of water with an elevated concrete oath around the outside. There is no diving due to the shallow and variable depth water. There are no life guards on duty. Ladders are placed around the pool to enable swimmers to get in and out of the pool. Toilets nearby and in the summer season there is a kiosk.
